(a) In the event the owner does not trim or remove any tree, plant or shrub, or part thereof in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, the Director of Public Service or his or her designee is hereby authorized to enforce the provisions of this chapter, and to cause to be trimmed or removed such tree, plant or shrub, or part thereof, and cut and remove all grass and weeds through the use of Municipal employees or by contract with others for such removal, after the expiration of seven days from a notice sent or given to the property owner by personal service, residence service, or by leaving a copy at the affected property, or by regular or certified mail to the owner of such lot or parcel of land, at his or her last known address or best obtainable address.
(b) As to tree planting, maintenance and removal and related topics, such as shrubs, etc., reference is made to the Shade Tree Ordinance contained in Chapter 905.
