(A) The Commission shall consist of the nine members and shall be composed of the following classification of members:
(1) City officials.
(a) The Mayor or his or her representative; and
(b) One Alderman selected by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council.
(2) Appointed members. (Selected by the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council).
(a) Three persons from the downtown business community as identified in Exhibit I (attached to the ordinance codified herein) boundaries;
(b) One person with background in banking or finance;
(c) One person with background in commercial real estate;
(d) One person with professional/service background (architecture, engineering, accounting and the like); and
(e) One person that resides within the downtown business district or owns a property within the downtown business district.
(B) Each Commission member shall serve without compensation.
