(A) There is hereby adopted by the city for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the installation of gas-consuming devices that certain code known as the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z.223.1, NFPA-54 recommended by the American Gas Association and the National Fire Protection Association; being particularly the 1988 edition thereof, the whole thereof and all subsequent editions thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out in length herein, and from the date on which this chapter shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the city.
(B) Under this Code, oil and solid fuel consuming devices shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions for said equipment.
