(A) Inspection required.
(1) Plumbing systems, or any part thereof, shall not be enclosed, covered up or used until after such system has been inspected and approved by the Plumbing Inspector. It is the responsibility of the holder of the plumbing permit to arrange for such inspection with the Plumbing Inspector at least 48 hours before such inspection is to be made. Tests shall be made by the permit holder and observed by the Plumbing Inspector.
(2) Plumbing found not to be in compliance with the Plumbing Code or otherwise defective or unsafe shall not be approved. The use of a plumbing system that has not complied with the provisions of the Plumbing Code or found to be defective or unsafe, shall not be approved until such time as such plumbing system is brought into compliance with the Plumbing Code.
(B) Rough-in inspection. Roughed plumbing work shall not be closed in, concealed or covered until after it has been inspected and approved by the Plumbing Inspector.
(C) Final inspection. Upon completion of the plumbing work, including setting of fixtures, the Plumbing Inspector shall inspect the plumbing system and observe the final tests of the plumbing system to insure compliance with the requirements of the Plumbing Code.
(D) Re-inspection.
(1) A re-inspection is mandatory whenever a plumbing system is found not in compliance with the Plumbing Code.
(2) It is the responsibility of the plumbing permit holder to arrange for a re-inspection of the plumbing system by the Plumbing Inspector.
(3) Requests for re-inspection and payment of penalty fee shall be made at least 48 hours before such inspection is to be made.
(E) Requested inspection. When an inspection is requested to determine the conditions of existing plumbing and/or private disposal system (other than for reasons of a health or safety hazard) a $25 fee will be charged.
