(A) (1) The monthly fee for municipal collection of residential refuse per residence or apartment, except for when there is a senior citizen’s discount, shall be as follows:
(a) Effective May 1, 2024 - $22;
(b) Effective May 1, 2025 - $22.25;
(c) Effective May 1, 2026 - $22.50;
(d) Effective May 1, 2027 - $22.75.
(2) The foregoing rates shall be discounted by $5 per month for senior citizens. Seniors qualify for the discount by providing proof of being 65 years of age or older, and evidence that the subject property is occupied as the owner’s principal place of residence.
(B) Effective February 1, 2022, the fee for municipal collection of commercial refuse shall be $40 a month per commercial address. Maximum number of four trash toters allowed for collection per commercial address. Collection requiring more than maximum number of toters must use a private hauler for disposal.
