(A) Pretreatment for removal of compatible pollutants may be required under § 50.056 of this chapter.
(B) The pretreatment standard for incompatible pollutants introduced into a treatment works by a major contributing industry shall be that established by a promulgated effluent limitations guideline defining best practicable control technology currently available pursuant to §§ 301(B) and 304(B) of the Act, being 33 U.S.C. § 1311(b) and 33 U.S.C. 1314(b). Compliance with pretreatment standards shall be provided for by the Act and subsequent rules and regulations as promulgated by the Regional Administrator.
