As a condition of their use and business license, convenience stores and gas stations cannot keep more than $250 in any cash register on the premises at all times between 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Additionally, there must be a written cash management policy that limits cash on hand in the convenience store or gas station from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and provided to all employees.
