The Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, may appoint an Assistant Director of Finance whose duties and responsibilities shall be to assist the Director of Finance in all matters set forth in § 34.002 of this chapter. The Assistant Director of Finance shall give a bond in each sum as may be required by the City Council; however, such bond shall not be less than required by statute.
