The Mayor shall be elected for a term of four years, commencing on the first day of January next after his election, and he shall serve until his successor is elected and qualified. He shall be an elector of the City.

There shall be a fee for any marriage solemnized by the Mayor pursuant to the laws of the State of Ohio and the same is set at the sum of $35.00 which shall be collected by the Mayor at the time of said solemnization and remitted to the Bellefontaine City Treasurer for deposit in the General Fund of the City.
