2-1-1: LICENSE REQUIRED:

It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct, operate, transact, engage in, or carry on any industry, trade, pursuit, profession, vocation, or business within the city without first applying for and obtaining a license from the city, as herein provided. If such application is granted, the person shall pay any fees as hereinafter provided. (1983 Code § 5.02.010)
