7-1-12: DEFECTS TO BE REPORTED:
It shall be the duty of the chief of police and all police officers to take note of all defects in sidewalks and streets and report the same to the street commissioner or the city council; and, in case of accident, they shall immediately report the same to the city attorney, together with the names of any witnesses. (1983 Code § 12.02.120)
