§ 32.021 CLERK OF THE COURT; DUTIES AND BOND.
   (A)   (1)   The City Clerk, or a deputy designated by him or her, shall be the Court Clerk.
      (2)   The City Clerk shall:
         (a)   Assist the Judge in recording the proceedings of the Court and in preparing writs, processes and other papers;
         (b)   Administer oaths required in proceedings before the Court;
         (c)   Enter all pleadings, processes and proceedings in the dockets of the Court;
         (d)   Perform such other clerical duties relating to the proceedings of the Court as the Judge
shall direct; and
         (e)   Receive any receipts for forfeitures, fees, deposits and sums of money payable to the Court and as may be established by the Court or the City Council.
      (3)   The Court Clerk shall pay to the City Clerk all money so received by him or her, except for such special deposits or fees as shall be received to be disbursed by him or her for special purposes. All money paid to the City Clerk shall be placed in the General Fund of the city, or in such other fund as the Council may direct.

   (B)   The Court Clerk shall give bond in such sum as set by the Council in the form provided by state law. When executed, the bond shall be submitted to the Council for approval. When approved, it shall be filed with the City Clerk and retained in the municipal archives.
