(A) At the time of the registration of the animal with the City Clerk as a dangerous dog, the owner or person harboring said animal must provide the City Clerk with a certificate of liability insurance, properly existing and issued by an insurance firm licensed to do business in the state, proving that said animal is fully insured from all harm caused by said animal in an amount of not less than $50,000 per incident, exclusive of interest and costs, covering any damage or injury caused by said animal. The certificate of insurance shall be provided to the City Clerk and the Police Department at the same time each year as the registration fee shown herein is paid.
(B) Likewise, each year at the time of the registration, the premises where the animal is confined shall be inspected by the Police Department to assure that the premises meets the requirements of this subchapter.
