§ 116.04 LICENSE ISSUANCE.
   The Board of Public Works and Safety, before issuing a license, shall investigate the character of the applicant, or applicants, and the officers, directors, and manager of the business if it is a corporation. The Board of Public Works and Safety may refuse to issue any license within its discretion if the Board finds any of the persons named in the application, or employees thereof, are not of good moral character, that any of the provisions of this chapter have been violated, if the premises sought to be licensed fail to comply in any manner with regulations, ordinances, and laws applicable thereto or for any reason the Board deems to be in the public interest.
