§ 94.020 RIGHT TO ENTER BUILDINGS AND PREMISES.
   (A)   Pursuant to IC 36-8-17, authorized personnel of the Beech Grove Fire Department may, at all reasonable hours enter any structure (except the interiors of private dwellings) within the city for the purposes of conducting inspections. The right to enter hall extend to new structures under construction as well as to existing, renovated or remodeled structures. The Beech Grove Fire Department and its authorized personnel shall have the right to enter common areas of multi-family dwellings.
   (B)   An inspector, investigator, or any employee of the Beech Grove Fire Department may be required by the owner or occupant of such property to produce satisfactory proof of his authority or identity.
   (C)   If an inspector, investigator, or any employee of the Beech Grove Fire Department is denied access, the Injury Prevention Chief, under the direction of the Fire Chief may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction for an order allowing inspection or investigation.
