§ 95.04 BOCA BASIC NATIONAL PLUMBING CODE.
   (A)   Adoption by reference. The BOCA Basic National Plumbing Code, latest edition and latest Accumulative Supplement as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., one copy of which is on file with the township or the Building Inspector together with this section, shall comprise the Plumbing Code of the township.
   (B)   Scope. The provisions of this Plumbing Code shall apply to and govern plumbing as defined in this BOCA Plumbing Code, including the practice, materials and fixtures used in the installation, maintenance, extension and alteration of all piping, fixtures, appliances and appurtenances in connection with any of the following: sanitary drainage or storm drainage facilities, reventing system and the public or private water supply systems, within or adjacent to any building or other structure, or conveyance; also, the practice and materials used in the installation, maintenance, extension or alteration of the stormwater or sewage system of any premises to their connection within any point of public disposal or other terminal.
   (C)   Modifications. The following modifications to the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code, latest edition, supersede any reference to similar requirements in the Code.
      (1)   Effective date. This Code shall take effect on May 15, 1988.
      (2)   Fees. Plumbing fees are a part of the fee schedule for building permits as attached to Ord. 47, revised.
      (3)   Administrative authority. The official, designated by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Bedminster, charged with the administration and enforcement of the Plumbing Code.
      (4)   Department having jurisdiction. Changed to read as follows: “The Official, designated by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Bedminster, charged with the administration and enforcement of the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code.”
      (5)   Public official. Amended to read as follows: “The official, designated by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Bedminster, charged with the administration and enforcement of the BOCA Basic Plumbing Code.”
      (6)   Section P308.3. Section P308.3, Freezing, shall have the following depths inserted: “Water service piping and sewer shall be installed below recorded frost penetration but not less than 3 feet below grade for water piping and 3 feet below grade for sewers unless the administrative authority having jurisdiction specifically approves a lesser depth. Plumbing piping in exterior building walls shall be adequately protected against freezing by insulation or heat or both. Water distribution or drainage piping shall not run exposed on exterior buildings walls.”
      (7)   Table P404.2.3. Table P404.2.3 is amended by deleting from the list of acceptable sewer pipe materials the words “bituminized fiber pipe.”
      (8)   Section P501.8.4. Section P501.8.4 is amended by adding the following to the end of the section: “. . .except that solder joints on underground water pipe are prohibited.”
      (9)   Section P501.8.4. Section P501.8.4 is amended to change that part that reads “use of compression gasket that is” to be “use of a compression gasket with scalor lubricant that is.”
      (10)   Section P601.6. Section P601.6 is changed to read as follows: “Any portion of the drainage system installed underground or below a basement or cellar shall not be less than a three-inch diameter.”
