§ 95.03 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE.
   (A)   Adoption by reference. The National Electrical Code, latest edition and the Electrical Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings, NFPA 70-A published by the National Fire Protection Association, Batterymarch Park, Quincy, Massachusetts, 02269 is adopted as the electrical code of the township, pursuant to the provisions of § 702, Clause LI of the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code, 53 P.S. §§ 65101 et seq., Act of May 24, 1933, P.L. 103, as amended, 53 P.S. § 65751.
   (B)   Interpretation. The provisions of this section shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the township. Where the provisions of this section impose greater restrictions than those of any other ordinance, law or regulation of the township, county or the commonwealth, the provisions of this section shall be controlling. Where the provisions of such other ordinances, laws or regulations impose a greater restriction than this section, the provisions of such other ordinance, laws or regulations shall be controlling.
   (C)   Scope. This section covers installations of electrical conductors and equipment within or on public and private buildings or other structures, including mobile homes, recreational vehicles and other premises such as yards, parking lots, other types of lots and industrial substations in the township.
   (D)   Exclusions. Exempted from the provisions of this section shall be any electrical installation on buildings that do not require a building permit.
   (E)   Fee. The fee for any electrical inspection is included in the building permit fee. The building permit fee is a part of Ord. 50, as codified in Chapter 93 of this code of ordinances.
   (F)   Inspection requirements. This section requires two underwriter inspections for all new construction. The first inspection is the initial new service installation. This inspection is also required by Philadelphia Electric Company. The second inspection is the completed rough wiring. The rough wiring inspection is also required of new additions to existing structures. All wiring inspection is to be completed by an underwriter inspection service acceptable to the township.
   (G)   Penalty. Whenever any such person specified in the division (F) above who violates this section or the Building Code will be issued a cease and desist form by the Building Inspector. The cease and desist form will list the violations and correction of the violation shall commence within five days after notice and correct all violations within 30 days of notice. If corrections are not commenced within five days or completed within 30 days, each day that a violation continues shall be considered a separate offense punishable by the like fine or penalty, and additional written notice shall not be necessary.
