The BOCA Basic Fire Prevention Code, Third Edition, 1975, is hereby changed and amended in the following respects.
(A) Section F100.1 is amended to read as follows: “These regulations as set forth herein shall be known as the Fire Prevention Code of the Township of Bedminster and is herein referred to as such or as “this Code”.”
(B) Section F102.1 is changed to read as follows: “Enforcement Officer: It shall be the duty and responsibility of the fire official, or such officer as shall be designated by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Bedminster, or his duly authorized representative, to enforce the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code as herein set forth. Enforcement Officer of this Code is herein referred to as the fire
official.”
(C) Section F104.1 is changed and in its entirety reads as follows: “General: Any owner or person who is aggrieved with the ruling or decision of the enforcement officer in any matter relative to the interpretation or enforcement of any of the provisions of the Fire Prevention Code may appeal the decision or interpretation.”
(D) Section F104.2 is added and reads as follows: “Filing: This appeal must be filed with the Building Appeals Board, in writing, within ten days of the date of the rendition of the decision or interpretation.”
(E) Section F104.3 is added and reads as follows: “Decision: The appeal shall be decided by the following method of procedure: The municipality shall appoint and establish a Building Appeals Board of three (3) persons who shall have the duty, responsibility and authority to decide the matters referred to them concerning this Code. The decision shall be subject to the appeal provisions as established by the appropriate Courts of the Commonwealth.”
(F) Section F201.0 is changed and amended as follows:
(1) Building Code: Amended to read as follows: “The Building Code lawfully adopted by the Township of Bedminster.”
(2) Building Official: Changed to read as follows: “The official, designated by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Bedminster, charged with the administration and enforcement of the Building Code.”
(3) Fire Official: Changed to read as follows: “The official designated by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Bedminster, charged with the administration and enforcement of the Fire Prevention Code.”
(G) Appendix D is amended as follows: “The Township of Bedminster” is inserted into the preamble. “The Township of Bedminster” is inserted into Section I after “by the” and before “by the control measures.” “Pennsylvania” is inserted into Section VI after “State of.” Section XX is amended to read “Passed this 8th day of March, 1978.”
