§ 51.125 DEFINITIONS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      AUTHORITY. The Bedminster Municipal Authority, a Pennsylvania municipal authority incorporated by the Township of Bedminster.
      IMPROVED PROPERTY. Any property within this township upon which there is an erected structure intended for continuous or periodic habitation, occupancy or use by human beings or animals and from which structure, sewage and/or industrial waste shall be or may be discharged.
      LATERAL. The part of sewer system extending from a structure to the curb line, or if there shall be no curb, to the edge of the pavement or to the edge of the cartway, if not paved, or, if no such LATERAL shall be provided, than the LATERAL shall mean that portion of, or place in a sewer which is provided for connection of any building sewer.
      OWNER. Any person vested with ownership, legal or equitable, sole or partial, or any property located in this township.
      PERSON. Any natural person, partnership, association, corporation or like entity. Whenever used in any division prescribing and imposing a penalty, or imposing a fine or imprisonment, or both, the term PERSON shall include the members of an association and the officers of a corporation.
      PUBLIC SEWAGE SYSTEM. Sewer system and the treatment facility or facilities owned, operated or maintained by the authority approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection under a permit issued pursuant to the Clean Streams Law, 35 P.S. §§ 691.1 et seq. as hereafter amended, supplemented, modified or reenacted by the General Assembly of the state.
      SEWAGE. Any substance that contains any of the waste products or excrementitious or other discharge from the bodies of human beings or animals, or any noxious or deleterious substances being harmful or inimical to the public health, or to animal or aquatic life, or to the use of water for domestic water supply or for recreation.
      SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. Any arrangement of devices and structures used for treating sewage.
      SEWER. Any pipe or conduit constituting a part of the sewer system use or usable for sewage collection purposes.
      SEWER SYSTEM. All temporary and permanent facilities at any time and from time to time owned or leased by or to and operated by the authority and used and usable for in connection with the collection, treatment and disposal of any sanitary sewage and acceptable industrial waste.
   (B)   In this subchapter, the singular shall include the plural; the plural shall include the singular; and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.
