§ 51.095 PROHIBITION ON UNAUTHORIZED CONNECTIONS.
   No person shall make connection of sump pumps, roof downspouts, foundation drains, area way drains, floor drains or other sources of surface runoff or groundwater to a building sanitary drainage system or building drain which in rum is connected directly or indirectly to an authority sanitary sewer main. Any such connection existing as of the date of the adoption of this subchapter shall be deemed an unauthorized connection and the owner shall immediately and permanently disconnect any such connection. Upon discovery of an unauthorized connection, the authority or the township shall give the owner 30 days’ written notice which shall be delivered either in person or by certified mail, return receipt requested to disconnect the unauthorized connection immediately. Failure to disconnect the unauthorized connection within 30 days of receipt of such notice shall be deemed authorization by the owner for the township or the authority, or their respective agents, to enter upon the property and permanently disconnect the unauthorized connection and collect all costs to do so as set forth in § 51.088.
