(A) Parking on paved streets with curbs.
(1) Unless otherwise prohibited in accordance with this chapter, on streets open for two-way traffic and not marked for angle parking, motor vehicles shall be parked wholly upon the surface of the street itself with the right-hand wheels of the vehicle parallel with and within 12 inches of the right-hand curb such that parked vehicles are headed in the same direction as authorized traffic.
(2) Unless otherwise prohibited in accordance with this chapter, on streets designated for one-way traffic, vehicles may be parked on either side of the street with the front wheels of the vehicle parallel with and within 12 inches of the curb, with parked vehicles headed in the same direction as authorized traffic.
(B) Parking on paved streets without curbs.
(1) Unless otherwise prohibited in accordance with this chapter, on streets open for two-way traffic and not marked for angle parking, motor vehicles shall be parked wholly upon the surface of the street itself with the right-hand wheels of the vehicle parallel with and within 12 inches of the right-hand edge of the pavement such that parked vehicles are headed in the same direction as authorized traffic.
(2) Unless otherwise prohibited in accordance with this chapter, on streets designated for one-way traffic, vehicles may be parked on either side of the street with the front wheels of the vehicle parallel with and within 12 inches of the edge of the pavement, with parked vehicles being headed in the direction of authorized traffic.
(C) Painted space lines. Where painted lines are used to designate parking spaces, whether for parallel or angle parking, all vehicles shall be parked wholly within a single parking space and shall not be parked in more than one parking space.
(D) Penalty. A person who violates this section shall be subject to the penalties provided in § 74.999.
