Notify Emergency Control person(s) of the location, material identity, and approximate amount spilled. Unless immediate evacuation is necessary, obtain the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) book to determine the actual response necessary for that particular spill/leak. Follow MSDS instructions. Should an external leak/spill occur such as gas or other hazardous chemicals follow the direction of emergency personnel. If an evacuation is ordered, follow notification of emergency warning and evacuation procedures as previously noted in this subchapter.
