§ 33.240 BODY PROTECTION.
   Any employee actively working in or near a work environment where there is a potential of injury to the body must wear protective gear or clothing. Body protection includes laboratory coats, coveralls, vests, jackets, aprons, gowns, full body suits, and fire-resistive coats in combination with protective trousers which meet the performance, construction, and testing of NFPA standard No. 1971-1975, protective clothing for structural firefighting for fire brigades. Examples of this type of environment are potential impacts from tools, machinery and materials, hazardous chemicals and structural firefighting. As an example, the employee will be required to wear an apron which will prevent loose clothing from being wound up in the grinding wheel which can lead to serious injury. Employees will be required to wear a shirt at all times (NO EXCEPTIONS). Employees will be required to wear vests which are colored fluorescent orange when they are working alongside a roadway. Also, any employee who uses the bucket truck for any reason shall wear a safety harness and be tied off at all times while in the bucket.
