§ 33.165 INTRODUCTION AND OVERVIEW.

   (A)   The City of Bedford Procurement Card is intended to provide an efficient, cost-effective method of procurement and paying for purchases. Advantages of the card include:

      (1)   Ease of use;

      (2)   Reduction in the number of checks produced for vendor payment;

      (3)   An itemized list of purchases made by each cardholder; and

      (4)   Additional interest earnings for the city due to increased float time between purchase and payment.

   (B)   The Procurement Card Program is not intended:

      (1)   To avoid or bypass appropriate procurement or payment procedures;

      (2)   For personal use; or

      (3)   For cash advance.

   (C)   This subchapter provides the guidelines under which a Procurement Card is issued and used. Please read it carefully.
