   The following sections are hereby revised:
   1.   Section 101.1. Insert: City of Bedford, Iowa.
   2.   Section 102.3. Section 102.3 shall be deleted.
   3.   Section 103.5. Section 103.5 shall be deleted and replaced as follows:
103.5 Fees. The fees for activities and services performed by the department in carrying out its responsibilities under this code shall be adopted by resolution of the City Council.
   4.   Section 111.2. Section 111.2 shall be deleted and replaced as follows:
111.2 Membership of board. The board of appeals shall consist of the Bedford City Council, subject to the same voting and quorum requirements required by Section 380.4 of the Code of Iowa. The code official shall be an ex-officio member but shall have no vote on any matter before the board.
   5.   Section 111.2.1. Section 111.2.1 shall be deleted.
   6.   Section 111.2.2. Section 111.2.2 shall be deleted and replaced as follows:
Section 111.2.2 Chairman. The Mayor shall act as the chairman of the board of appeals.
   7.   Section 111.2.4. Section 111.2.4 shall be deleted.
   8.   Section 111.2.5. Section 111.2.5 shall be deleted.
   9.   Section 112.4. Section 112.4 shall be deleted and replaced as follows:
112.4 Failure to comply. Any person who shall continue any work after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be guilty of a municipal infraction under Chapter 4 of the Code of Ordinances for the City of Bedford, Iowa.
   10.   Section 302.4. Section 302.4 shall be deleted and replaced as follows:
302.4 Weeds, Brush. All premises and exterior property shall be maintained free from weeds, grasses, and non-agricultural plants which are seven inches or more in height or any other rank growth of vegetation that may be injurious to health by releasing particulate matter in the atmosphere or by other means, or which are considered noxious. Upon failure of the owner or agent having charge of a property to cut and destroy weeds after service of a notice of violation, they shall be subject to prosecution in accordance with Section 106.3 and as proscribed by the authority having jurisdiction. Upon failure to comply with the notice of violation, any duly authorized employee of the jurisdiction or contractor hired by the jurisdiction shall be authorized to enter upon the property in violation and cut and destroy the weeds growing thereon, and the costs of such removal shall be paid by the owner or agent responsible for the property.
   11.   Section 304.14. Section 304.14 shall be deleted.
   12.   Section 602.3. Section 602.3 shall be deleted.
   13.   Section 602.4. Section 602.4 shall be deleted.
   14.   Section 602.5. Section 602.5 shall be deleted.
