153.16 NOTICE OF PUBLIC BIDDING.

   (a)    The Clerk of Council is hereby authorized to advertise for public bids on the proposed purchase by the City of all items hereinafter set forth that constitute a contract or purchase for more than the specified amount when the need arises:

      (1)    Gas, oil, grease

      (2)    Motor vehicles

      (3)    Insurance and bonds

      (4)    Salt

      (5)    Chemicals

      (6)    Uniforms

      (7)    Communication equipment

      (8)   Traffic control signals

      (9)    Street and road repair and maintenance

      (10)    Tires

   (b)    Council shall have the right to reject any and all bids received and all public advertisement notices shall contain this condition.
