139.03 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES OF BUILDING DIVISION PERSONNEL.
   (a)    All personnel of the Division of Building, Engineering and Inspection shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age and be a high school graduate or possess equivalent experience and/or relevant education and shall perform such duties as are set forth in the City’s Employee Job Description and as the same are hereafter amended and approved by the Mayor and certified Building Official.
   (b)   The Building Official shall hold and maintain a Class I Building Official Certification and a valid Ohio driver’s license.
   (c)   All Building Code Inspectors and/or Part-time Inspectors charged with the enforcement of all City, State and Federal Codes shall possess the required certifications necessary to enforce all such codes. It shall be the responsibility of the Building Official to monitor and insure that all Building Code Inspectors and/or Part-time Inspectors hold the required current certifications from the State of Ohio.
   (d)   The Building Secretary and full-time Clerk/Secretary shall perform such duties as required by the Building Official.
   (e)   The Building Official or a Building Code Inspector shall be certified as a Residential Building Official.
