135.04 TEMPORARY APPOINTMENTS.

In times of emergency, the Mayor may appoint such additional personnel in the capacity of special deputy patrolmen as the Mayor may deem necessary. Such appointments when made shall be on a temporary basis and persons so appointed shall receive compensation only for the time actually devoted to police duties at the direction of the Mayor/Director of Public Safety or the Chief of Police.
