SECTION 5.05. QUALIFICATIONS OF OFFICERS.

   Each elective officer of this municipality shall be a qualified elector of this municipality, shall have resided continuously therein not less than two (2) years next preceding the date of his election, and shall continue to reside therein during his term of office. He shall hold no other public office or employment during his term, incompatible with his elected office, except as otherwise provided in this Charter, and further excepting the office of Notary Public and membership in the Militia or Reserve Corps. The Council shall determine whether any elected officials’ other public employment is incompatible with his office in this municipality.
