1337.01 DEFINITIONS.
(a) A “patio” is a hard surface exterior flood installed at ground level or less than six inches above ground, which may abut or be placed in close proximity to or within twelve inches of the exterior of a residential structure.
(b) A “deck” is a hard surface exterior floor elevated above ground level six inches or more and may have a safety railing.
(c) A “porch” is a deck that is partly enclosed with a roof or cover and/or with sides, open or closed, and therefore to be considered as a structure or building for purposes of the Planning and Zoning Code.
