1179.03 CONTENT OF SIGNS.
   Signs are herein classified, according to contents and use, as follows:
   (a)    Nameplate. A sign indicating the name, address and/or profession of the person or persons occupying a lot.
   (b)    Bulletin Board. An announcement sign directing attention and located on the lot of a public or semipublic institution.
   (c)    Real Estate and Development. A sign directing attention to the promotion, development, rental, sale or lease of property on which it is located, or a sign indicating the name, owner or manager of a development.
   (d)    Retail or Business. A sign directing attention to the name of the business or establishment, the goods or commodities sold and/or services rendered on the lot on which the sign is located.
   (e)    Commercial and Industrial. A sign directing attention to the name of a commercial or an industrial establishment, goods produced or sold or service rendered on the lot on which the sign is located.
   (f)    Directional. A sign indicating the direction to which attention is called, either on the same or another lot.

   (g)    Outdoor Billboard Advertising Display. A sign comprised of a fixed structure, including the supporting structure made necessary thereby, which is erected and used for the sole purpose of the public display of posters or painted displays for the benefit of a person, organization or business whether or not the person, organization or business resides or is located upon the lot where the sign is erected, hereinafter referred to as a “billboard”.
