1171.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter:
   (a)   “Automobile service station” means a building or other structure or a tract of land where gasoline or similar fluid, stored only in underground tanks, is dispensed directly to users of motor vehicles. The following activities are permitted as accessory uses to a gasoline station: the dispensing of oil, greases, antifreeze, tires, batteries and automobile accessories directly to users of motor vehicles; tuning motors, minor wheel and brake adjustment, waxing and polishing and other minor servicing and repair to the extent of installation of the items enumerated above; washing of automobiles provided that no chain conveyor, blowers, steam cleaner or other mechanical device is employed. All other activities shall be prohibited, including, but not limited to, upholstering work, auto glass work, painting, welding, tire recapping, auto dismantling and auto sales. (Ord. 72-13.    (b)   “Automobile filling station” means a building or other structure or a tract of land intended and used primarily for the retail sale of gasoline or other motor vehicle fuels and oils into vehicles using the same for fuel or lubrication, provided specifically that no services or retail or food sales other than those enumerated in this subsection as permitted accessory uses to an automobile filling station are to be provided or undertaken on the premises or within any building or structure located thereon. NO OUTSIDE VENDING MACHINES SHALL BE PERMITTED. A microwave may be provided for use by customers for prepackaged hot sandwiches, soups and microwavable side dishes. The following retail and food sales conducted within the building or structure shall be permitted as accessory uses to an automobile filling station:
      (1)   Cigarettes, tobacco and lighters.
      (2)   Prepackaged candy and gum.
      (3)   Prepackaged snacks including potato chips, pretzels, cookies and crackers.
      (4)   Carbonated soft drinks and noncarbonated beverages in cans or bottles or such fountain drinks in cups. NO OUTSIDE SOFT DRINK MACHINES SHALL BE PERMITTED.
      (5)   Health and beauty aids including Rolaids, cough drops, aspirin, Alka-Seltzer, sunglasses, gloves, pens, school supplies, toothpaste, deodorant, laxatives, eyedrops, contact lens solutions, feminine products, disposable diapers, hairspray, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins and Kleenex.
      (6)   Auto supplies. NO AUTOMOBILE TIRES OR BATTERIES MAY BE SOLD.
      (7)   Prepackaged and nonperishable groceries including cans of juice, cereal, condiments (mustard and catsup) and canned soups.
      (8)   Prepackaged frozen orange juice and ice cream and popsicles and novelty items.
      (9)   Prepackaged bakery items including bread and snack cakes.
      (10)   Dairy items including milk and juices.
      (11)   Hot beverages in cups including coffee and hot chocolate. NO HOT PREPARED SOUPS.
      (12)   Prepackaged prepared hot and cold sandwiches.
      (13)   Prepackaged prepared salads with sealed dressings.
      (14)   Prepackaged soups and microwavable side dishes.
      (15)   Soft-serve ice cream.
      (16)   Hot dogs with buns and condiment center, nachos with cheese and chili sauce, hot pretzels, popcorn, pizza, fresh deli sandwiches, salads, donuts, cookies, and hot pocket rolls and sausage.
      (17)   Magazines, newspapers and paperback books.
      (18)   Ice. NO OUTSIDE ICE MACHINES SHALL BE PERMITTED.
      (19)   Other similar high-impulse, prepackaged items specifically authorized by the Zoning Board of Appeals as a conditional use pursuant to Chapter 1133 and other applicable provisions of this Zoning Code and subject to any conditions placed thereon by the Board. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE FOLLOWING ITEMS BE SOLD:
         A.   Beer, wine or any other alcoholic beverages.
