1163.05 SIGNAGE.
   (a)    In all Shopping Center Districts, one pylon sign shall be permitted per each 100,000 square feet of buildings built within a designated project. All such pylon signs shall be located at an entrance or exit to the project. All such pylon signs shall be no more than 25 feet in height and contain no more than 150 square feet of signage area on each face of such pylon sign. No more than two faces shall be permitted on such pylon sign. All such pylon signs may include the names of any businesses within such project. Such signs shall be set back 10 feet from the right-of-way line.
   (b)    In addition to any pylon signs permitted above, any project within a Shopping Center District and which is located adjacent to an Interstate Highway shall be permitted one highway identification sign. Such highway identification sign shall be located not more than 100 feet away from the right-of-way or limited access area designated for such highway and all such highway identification signs shall be no more than 50 feet in height and contain no more than 150 square feet of signage area on each face of such highway identification sign. No more than two faces shall be permitted on such highway identification sign. All such highway identification signs may include the names of any businesses within such project.
   (c)    All businesses located within a Shopping Center District shall be entitled to wall identification signs. All such signage shall be in conformance with the following requirements:
      (1)   No sign shall exceed 50% (four square feet of sign for every one lineal foot of frontage) of the frontage of any business being identified by such sign in length.
      (2)   For tenants under 50,000 square feet in gross floor area, the height of any wall identification sign shall not exceed six feet in height. For tenants over 50,000 square feet in gross floor area, the height of any wall identification sign shall not exceed 12 feet in height.
      (3)   All wall identification signs may be of such color and contain such logos as reflect the corporate identity of any business within a Shopping Center District, and shall be uniform in design as determined by the Architectural Board of Review. (Ord. 99-043. Passed 4-20-99.)
