959.01 SERVICES AND USER FEES.
(a) Effective July 16, 2013, the following user fees are hereby approved, adopted and levied and shall be paid by those individuals and/or organizations making use of the city’s Emergency Medical Services Ambulance as follows:

Per Mile to a Medical Facility | $12.00 |
Because the ongoing costs to provide emergency medical services to the public are subject to increase, the Finance Director and Fire Chief are hereby authorized to complete a review of charges associated with EMS for recommendations for periodic rate increases as needed.
(b) All individuals who receive the services listed above, or those financially responsible for those individuals, will be charged the fee corresponding to the services provided.
(c) Residents of the City of Bedford Heights, employees of a taxpaying business who are working on business property within the City of Bedford Heights and employees of the City of Bedford Heights and their dependents will also be charged the fees corresponding to the services provided. Any balance due from these individuals above their insurance coverage, if any, will be waived after all insurance billing has been exhausted. In the event an insurance payment is paid directly to the responsible party in error, he or she shall be required to forward said payment to the City of Bedford Heights. In these cases, the taxes paid to the City in the form of real estate tax and/or income tax will be considered as full payment of the co-pay and/or non-insured transport.
(d) Non-residents who are not employees working within the City will be billed for said services in full including any insurance deductibles and/or co-pays.
