909.21 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF TREE BOARD.

   It shall be the responsibility of the Tree Board to study, investigate and develop, in cooperation with the City Arborist, plans for the care, preservation, planting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets and in all public areas. The street tree species to be planted in accordance with the Master Plan will be selected by the City Arborist and approved by the Tree Board. In order to fulfill its duties and obligations, the Tree Board is authorized to retain the services of a consultant familiar with trees, bushes and shrubbery who shall also serve without compensation.
