903.09 UTILITY COMPANIES; SERVICE LINES.

   The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the East Ohio Gas Company, the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, the Water Department of the City of Cleveland and Ameritech or agent thereof for the installation, repair or replacement of service lines from existing mains or trunks to individual users, provided that a guarantee in writing is filed with the Building Division that in the event any such opening is made in public property and not satisfactorily repaired after five days from notice thereof, the City may cause such repairs to be made and charge the cost thereof to such utility company and the utility company shall, in addition, pay to the Building Division the inspection and permit fees herein required.
