903.02 CONDITIONS FOR GRANTING PERMIT; DEPOSIT AND CERTIFICATION.

   No permit shall be issued by the Building Commissioner unless and until authorization has been given by the City Engineer and/or Director of Public Service of the City permitting the construction or other work for which such opening permit is requested, and unless and until the applicant therefor presents written evidence that he has deposited with the Building Commissioner a bond or cash in an amount as hereinafter required as a guarantee that any such opening or excavation will be promptly refilled in accordance with the instructions of the City Engineer, and any damage created to any road, street, sidewalk, tree lawn or other public property shall be promptly repaired to as good a condition as that existing prior to the commencement of such work, and that such opening will, so long as the same is required to exist, be properly guarded by suitable barricades and lights at all times.
