157.16 MANDATORY RETIREMENT.
   No full-time employee of the City, except elected officials, shall be employed or continue to serve as an employee of the City after reaching the age of seventy years unless the employee shall, within one month after his/her seventieth birthday, and every year thereafter, be examined by a physician designated by the Safety Director, the Public Service Director, or the Water Reclamation Director for a determination as to whether such person is physically and mentally able and capable of performing his/her duties in an efficient manner. The Mayor may terminate the employment of such person over age seventy upon the recommendation of the Safety Director, the Public Service Director, or the Water Reclamation Director, if it is found that such person is not able and capable of performing his/her duties in an efficient manner.
