The Council of the borough, or any trustee appointed hereunder, shall receive from the Borough Treasurer any allocations received by the borough from the state, from the borough itself, from police employees, and from gifts, grants, devises, or bequests made pursuant to § 32.005 and shall invest such sums in the manner it deems most beneficial to the Fund so as to provide retirement and other benefits as shall be required by law or by this subchapter, or shall be established from time to time by resolution or ordinance of the Council of the borough.
