(A) Administration and enforcement of the Code within this municipality shall be undertaken by ordinance of this municipality under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act and agreement with various participating municipalities in the county for the joint administration and enforcement of this Act through an intermunicipal agreement.
(B) (1) The borough hereby appoints Pennsylvania Municipal Code Alliance, Inc. as the third party agency responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Uniform Construction Code, as adopted and as may be amended by the ordinances of this municipality, and to serve as the Building Code Official in the borough.
(2) Any fees charged for building permits or for other services related to the administration and enforcement of the Uniform Construction Code shall be in accordance with a schedule of fees established by Pennsylvania Municipal Code Alliance, Inc. from time to time and provided to the borough.
(3) The borough may request, from time to time, that Pennsylvania Municipal Code Alliance, Inc. provide other services to the borough.
(4) Pennsylvania Municipal Code Alliance, Inc., shall at all times when providing services to the borough, maintain a valid certification with the state’s Department of Labor and maintain error and omissions insurance in an amount of at least $1,000,000.
