The Borough Manager or Borough Council shall be authorized to enter into an agreement with the named insured which provides for a disposition of the insurance proceeds in a manner other than as provided in this chapter. Such an agreement shall not be deemed as a waiver of any of the rights of the borough to file subsequent municipal liens or claims, or to proceed against the named insured or property owner at law or in equity.
