A. No person shall knowingly make or file or cause to be made or filed a false or misleading report or misrepresentation, allegation or complaint with the police department or any officer or employee of the town, or on any official application or to commit perjury before any tribunal of the town.
B. No person shall wilfully and without probable cause make a false report to any person of any crime, violation of the town's ordinances, or circumstances indicating the possibility of crime or violation having been committed, including, but not limited to, the unlawful taking of personal property, which report causes or encourages the exercise of police or other official action or investigation.
