§ 32.096  PERSONAL LEAVE.
   (A)   Use. Personal leave is provided for vacation, recreation, and personal business.
   (B)   Accrual.
      (1)   All regular and probationary employees who work 19 or more hours per week accrue personal leave. Leave accrual is in accordance with the following table for full-time employees.

      (2)   Part-time employees who work at least 19 hours per week will earn personal and sick leave on the same percentage basis as their percentage of work is to full time. Part-time employees who work less than 19 hours per week will not accrue any leave benefits.
   (C)   Maximum accrual. Employees may accumulate leave with no maximum during the calendar year, but may carry forward a maximum of 30 days to January 1 each year.
   (D)   Requests. Requests for personal leave will be submitted to the employee’s department head or the appropriate designated supervisor to be granted at the discretion of the department head so not to interfere with the department’s operations.
   (E)   Conflicts. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests for personal leave. Requests may be disapproved due to the workload or staffing level. Any conflicts which cannot be resolved by the immediate supervisor or department head will be referred to the County Manager.
   (F)   Transfer of leave. Unused accumulated personal leave may be transferred from the county to another government unit if the unit to which the transfer is being made will accept the leave. This includes transfers between state and local agencies. The county will accept up to ten days of personal leave transferred from a state governmental unit upon receipt of proper documentation of the availability of the leave.
