§ 32.079  PURPOSE.
   (A)   The following appeal procedures are provided to assure that employees are afforded an opportunity to make their concerns known on personnel matters.
   (B)   Two types of appeal procedures are provided.
      (1)   Grievance. A grievance is a formal claim or complaint based upon an event or condition which affects the circumstance under which employees are hired, work, promoted, demoted, laid off, or separated.
      (2)   Appeal of separation. Appeal of separation is a special procedure to be used when an employee is to be involuntarily separated from service.
