The purpose of this district is to encourage comprehensive planning for sizable tracts of land under single ownership or control so as to promote the construction and use of appropriate commercial, retail, and recreational service areas for the benefit of residential development within the planned unit development and, where appropriate, additional utilization by other residents of and visitors to the county.
