(A) Term. A franchise issued pursuant to this chapter shall be valid for a term of two years. This term will follow the county's fiscal year and run from July 1 of a given year to June 30 of the subsequent calendar year.
(B) Renewal.
(1) The franchise may be renewed following the submission of a renewal application and payment of a $500 fee.
(2) The renewal fee is due 60 days prior to the franchise expiration date or the franchise may not be renewed.
(3) The renewal application will be brief, but must contain the franchise's desire to remain within the county non-emergency response system and state their intent to comply with all franchisee requirements as defined in this chapter.
(4) The Oversight Committee will review the renewal application and any other pertinent information provided to the committee by the Emergency Services Director and/or the Medical Director before making a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners for their approval or denial of the franchise.
(5) The Oversight Committee will have the ability to review each franchise's most recent financial records.
