A. Recruitment And Training: The police department shall adhere to the standards for recruiting and training established by the California commission on peace officer standards and training (POST).
B. Department Operation: The chief of police shall formulate regulations and regular updates governing the operation of the police department and the duties of its members. The Bear Valley CSD police manual provides operational details for the police department. Such regulations, when approved by the board of directors, shall govern the operation of the department's personnel.
C. Powers And Immunities: Members of the police department, in the lawful exercise of their duties, shall have all powers, privileges and immunities which are or may hereinafter be confirmed upon peace officers by the laws of this state. (Ord. 09-230, 1-8-2009)
