7-1-13: WATER CONSERVATION; EQUIPMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
   A.    Pools And Tanks:
      1.    When an abnormally large quantity of water is desired for filling a swimming pool or for other purposes, arrangements must be made with the district prior to taking such water.
      2.    Permission to take water in unusual quantities will be given only if it can be safely delivered through the district's facilities and if no other consumers are inconvenienced thereby.
   B.    Responsibility For Equipment: The customer shall, at his own risk and expense, furnish, install and keep in good and safe condition all equipment that may be required for receiving, controlling, applying and utilizing water, and the district shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by the improper installation of such equipment, or the negligence or wrongful act of the customer or of any of his tenants, agents, employees, contractors, licensees or permittees in installing, maintaining, operating, or interfering with such equipment. The district shall not be responsible for damage to property caused by faucets, valves and other equipment that are open when water is turned on at the meter, either originally or when turned on after a temporary shutdown.
   C.    Periods Of Water Shortage: The district shall have the right to restrict the use of and apportion its available water supply during any emergency caused by drought, or other threatened or existing water shortage, and to prohibit the wastage of district water or the use of district water during such period, for any purpose other than household uses or such other restricted uses as may be determined to be necessary by the district and may prohibit use of such water during such periods for specific uses which the district may from time to time find to be nonessential.
   D.    Use Of Siphons: No siphon of any nature shall be operated from any service connected to the district's system. (Ord. 11-237, 11-10-2011)
