The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all areas having special flood hazards within the jurisdiction of the city. For the purpose of this chapter, the special flood hazard areas are those areas designated as Zone A on the “Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for Mahaska County and Incorporated Areas, City of Beacon”, Panel I9123C0250C, dated 6-16-2011, which is hereby adopted and made a part of this chapter.
