§ 7-1-9 TECHNICAL CODES ADOPTED BY REFERENCE.
   For the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of buildings and structures; electrical wiring, equipment and appliances; gas piping, equipment and appliances, plumbing, heating, ventilating, comfort cooling piping, equipment and appliances; minimum health and safety standards in housing; and other matter regulated therein, the following codes, copies of which are on file in the Clerk’s office, are hereby adopted by the city and incorporated herein by reference, subject to all deletions, modifications, amendments and conflicting provisions contained in this code of ordinances:
   (A)   Building Code. The Uniform Building Code, latest edition, as amended, or as otherwise provided by the Council, as recommended by the International Conference of Building Officials;
   (B)   Housing Code. The Uniform Housing Code, latest edition, as amended, or as otherwise provided by the Council, as recommended by the International Conference of Building Officials;
   (C)   Electrical Code. The National Electrical Code, latest edition, as amended, or as otherwise provided by the Council, as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association;
   (D)   Gas Code. The Standard for the Installation of Gas Appliances Gas Piping, latest edition, as amended, or as otherwise provided by the Council, No. 54 by the National Fire Protection Association;
   (E)   Plumbing Code. The Uniform Plumbing Code, latest edition, as amended, or as otherwise provided by the Council, as recommended by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials; and
   (F)   Mechanical Code. The Uniform Mechanical Code, latest edition, as amended, or as otherwise provided by the Council, as recommended by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials.
